Are you a biologist at a minority-serving institution? Apply for a travel award to attend Evolution 2013

Faculty from minority-serving institutions, historically black colleges and universities, or other institutions with significant enrollment of under-represented minority students are encouraged to apply for a travel award to attend Evolution 2013, to be held in Snowbird, Utah, June 21-25, 2013.

Sponsored by the National Evolutionary Synthesis Center (NESCent) and by the Society for the Study of Evolution (SSE), the funds are available to cover conference registration, travel, food and lodging for up to three individuals.

This award is intended to provide faculty with an opportunity to present original research in evolution, systematic biology, evolutionary genomics/informatics, evolution education/outreach or other disciplines typically represented at the Evolution meetings. As such, your application must include a talk/poster title and abstract. In addition, you will be asked to provide a brief (1 page) statement describing how this award will contribute to your professional/scientific development, as well as provide benefit to your students and institution.
