A major goal for the Education and Outreach Group is making current evolutionary biology research accessible to educators, with an emphasis on the practical applications of this work.  From this page, educators will find lessons developed at NESCent and elsewhere.  Specific examples of recent developments can be found in Evolution in the News, as well as more general examples of applied evolution and key evolutionary concepts. Under Education Research and Policy there are reports on the status of evolution education and the National Standards for Evolution Education for grades 9-12.  Educators also have access to scientists to request guest lectures. Resources from the annual Evolution Symposium at the National Association of Biology Teachers Conference can be accessed here as well.
