Summary | Duncan Porter has been involved in Cambridge University's Darwin Correspondence Project since 1991, first as a senior editor and then as director. The project involves transcribing and cataloging Darwin's correspondence; the approximately 14,500 letters give a unique insight into the development of Darwin's thinking. Duncan Porter is professor emeritus of botany at Virginia Tech. His publications range from botany to Darwin to both (e.g. 2009. D. M. Porter, G. Murrell, & J. Parker. Some new Darwin vascular plant specimens from the Beagle voyage. Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society 159: 12-18.). He is editor of The Portable Darwin. |
