NESCent Post-docs Moving On

Derrick Zwickl has been working on "Implementation of a wide range of codon and amino acid models in Bayesian phylogenetic software" during his stay at NESCent. He is starting a post-doctoral position with Dr. Mark Holder at the University of Kansas where he will be working on simultaneous (or joint) inference of sequence alignment and phylogeny.


Amy Zanne is starting a position as an Assistant Professor of Plant Ecology in the Department of Biology at the University of Missouri, St. Louis. Amy's project at NESCent was "Hydraulic efficiency and safety: Do tradeoffs have an evolutionary basis in the rosids?".
